While clever, have you read Esther recently? Trusting in the science and trusting in God are not the same. The reason all of us are in this boat is evil. Pure and simple. I speak for myself. As well as preaching TO MYSELF. I am not pointing a finger as much as telling you my story. I turned away from God. For 12 years. While I might not for 12 years have turned one heart to Him, I could have. I could have spoken. I could have. All of us could. This is what happens when a world turns from God. No, I am not talking about Him punishing us. I am speaking of consequences. These are the consequences of looking to our own ends, our selfishness. We can take the leaders of any country down verbally ( and I’m not saying they don’t deserve the severest of censures along with a large part of the media, tech, and especially all public health systems.) but to absolve ourselves in the midst by saying we’ve been good people, we’ve been nice, we’ve been doing the right things. I think most of us, if honest, would realize we too are culpable for not trusting God and shining his light of Love into the world through the message of Jesus Christ, His death in the cross to pay for our sins, his life of compassion, his rising to give us new life. I am sorry. I did not.

Read the book of Esther. Read the entire context. It showed what happened then and shows what happens NOW when ONE Jew, one Christian turns to Him in trust and says “use me”. And then read the gospels.
